Welcome back to the last of the Take Back Your LifeSeries. If you have already started implementing the first six steps out than I say congratulations. You have begun the hard work necessary to take your life back from the busyness, and any other stress you have placed on your life. If you have not started the process and tedious work necessary, it’s not too late.
So, the last three steps may not be as difficult for you as the first six. Regardless, they are steps that must be taken to take back your life. .
7. Many of us are wandering around wishing that we were further along in life or at a different place as far as our career is concerned. I want to give you some hope but also a word of caution here. It may be possible that you are right where you are supposed to be in life. What I have learned is that we cannot move forward until we learn or accomplish exactly what it is that we are suppose to accomplish. This goes back to one of the first posts in this series, be keenly aware of where you are in life.
8. While writing this series I have been doing some reading and one of the themes that continues to come up is the need to forgive others and probably most importantly forgiveness of self. You might be surprised how difficult this may be as well as how much this may be holding you back in life. I encourage you to spend some time in prayer asking God to reveal to you how this has affected your life. Be open to whatever He might share.
9. The last step in this series is to find someone that you can trust to hold you accountable to taking back your life. This person should be someone that is willing to hold your feet to the fire and not let you get away with not doing the work.
In winding up this series I want you to know that I realize the steps that have been laid out are not easy. I know because I am following them myself. I have always heard it said that a great leader is one that is willing to do the same things he/she asks their following to do. I want you to know how grateful I am that you take the time to read my posts.
